SHARJAH, Feb 13: Controversial fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar Wednesday said the issue of his bowling action should now end for good.

“Let it go,” Shoaib said while talking to reporters, adding: “Forget about my action and get on with the game.”

To a question, Shoaib said he did have discussion with former West Indies fast bowler Michael Holding it has nothing to do with his action.

“My left arm was falling after delivery and Michael advised me to keep it straight.”

Shoaib said he was fully fit and had no problems on this count for six-seven months. “I am enjoying fast,” he said.

He said he was not in the business of bowling 100km an hour.

He said he was in negotiating with some English counties who want him as their overseas player. “But I will have to look at how playing county cricket will help my career.”—APP
