LAHORE, Sept 26: A City District Government Lahore squad on Tuesday sentenced six milkmen to seven days rigorous imprisonment each for using sub-standard measures and fined another nine Rs1,000 each for carrying adulterated milk besides seizing 2,046 bottles of spurious beverages.

The squad comprising food and labour department officials led by District Officer(Food) Chaudhry Munir Ahmed intercepted 18 milkmen on Ferozepur Road near Ichhra and checked milk. Samples of only three milkmen were found satisfactory.
