PESHAWAR, Sept 24: Acting Governor Justice Tariq Parvez Khan has said that Ramzan epitomised self-restraint and accountability and steadfastness and has appealed to people to bring about positive change in their lives in accordance with the true spirit of the holy month.
In a message issued here on Sunday, the acting governor said that the sanctity of the sacred month demanded practical demonstration of the spirit of patience, brotherhood and affection to make the society a real cradle of peace and cohesion.
The acting governor stressed the need for honouring the rights and responsibilities of each other in their day to day life and pointed out “it is dire need to demonstrate the spirit of selflessness during this Holy Month rather making it the source of personal gains”.
He particularly urged the trade and business circles of NWFP and adjoining Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) not to lose the unique chance of achieving the blessings of Almighty Allah by indulging in petty material gains.
Rather, Justice Tariq Parvez said, they should ensure provision of items of daily use to consumers at prescribed rates.—APP
