DERA GHAZI KHAN, Sept 22: The Border Military Police in Fort Munro have instituted a case against the foreigners who have been charged with sneaking away a British national’s coffin.

The case has been registered under section 297/34 of the PPC which has been resorted to for the first time against any foreigner.

Maud Evelyn, the wife of an Indian Army Punjab Commission’s captain, was buried at the Fort Munro cemetery in 1906. A group of eight foreigners, including three women, is alleged to have taken away Maud’s coffin after breaking the marble slabs of the grave.
