LAHORE, Sept 18: The Communication and Works Department will give 1,000 motorcycles to its sub-engineers to enable them to perform their duties properly, says the minister of the department.

Chaudhry Zaheeruddin said sub-engineers who were working directly under his department or were with the district governments would receive the two-wheelers.

He believed that performance of the recipients would automatically improve with their mobility. He said a number of more steps were under consideration to improve the working of his department.
