PESHAWAR, Sept 14: A woman has threatened to set herself on fire outside the Peshawar Press Club if her son, Noor Shad Afridi, is not released from what she called illegal police detention.

She told newsmen on Thurs-day that her son had been detained at the Gharbi police station for 24 days, even though he was not involved in any crime and no case had been registered against him.
