LAHORE, Sept 5: ARD chairman Amin Fahim said on Tuesday the restoration of democracy should be the prime objective of all political parties while taking policy decisions.

He was asked to comment on the MMA’s decision that the religious alliance would quit the assemblies and the Balochistan coalition in case the government passed by the bill amending the Hudood laws.

“The MMA is a separate alliance, with its own programme and manifesto, but the prevailing situation demands that the restoration of democracy should get primacy in the decision-making process.”
