Work begins on upgrading hospital

PESHAWAR, Sept 5: District Coordination Officer (DCO) and Political Agent of the Kohat Frontier Region, Arshad Majeed Mohmand, inaugurated work on upgradation of Sheendhand Hospital here on Tuesday.

The hospital has been upgraded to ‘D’ type and the upgradation is expected to cost Rs59.6 million in its first phase. MNA Dr Naseem Afridi, APA Kohat Riaz Hussain Khattak, Tehsildar Qaiser and Malik Nasrullah of Bosti Khel were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, the DCO said Rs120 billion had been allocated for overall development of tribal areas by the Tribal Development Authority. He said that Kohat has put on priority. He asked notables of the area to shun differences over minor issues and demonstrate unity in their ranks. He said developmental funds of Kohat had been increased manifold during last four years.—APP
