Dutch pilot dies in Afghan crash

THE HAGUE, Aug 31: A Dutch air force pilot was killed on Thursday when his F16 fighter jet crashed in Afghanistan, the Dutch defence ministry said. “He crashed as he was flying towards southern Afghanistan. An inquiry will determine what caused the accident,” defence ministry spokesman Jos van der Leij told AFP.
