LAHORE, Aug 30: The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab has established a separate women tourism wing to facilitate working women and those belonging to all walks of life in seeing rich cultural and historical heritage in the country.
TDCP managing director Irfan Ali inaugurated the women tourism wing at the corporation offices on Wednesday. A large number of women belonging to all walks of life attended the ceremony.
Mr Ali said the TDCP had designed different tour packages for women tourists without seeking any profit out of it. He said the tour packages included day excursions and three- or five-day tours in Murree and other hill stations.
He said the TDCP would also arrange accommodation as well as lady guides to facilitate women tourists all over the province.
Parliamentary secretary for tourism Lubna Tariq lauded the TDCP’s initiative of arranging tour packages exclusively for women tourists who otherwise face great problems in visiting different places in the province.
The women participants also appreciated the corporation for introducing tailor-made packages exclusively for them.
