Iranian petrol seized

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Aug 29: The Border Military Police (BMP) on Tuesday foiled a bid to smuggle more than 28,000 litres of Iranian petrol into Punjab. Police said the BMP commandant was on his routine patrol on Dera-Quetta Road in tribal area when he intercepted two trucks (QA-1131), (QA-462). The vehicles were proceeding towards Punjab after crossing two check posts of BMP and one of Rangers near Rakhi Gaaj.

The military police seized drums containing more than 28,000 litre Iranian petrol and arrested truck drivers Akhtar and Ashraf.
