Four held for allegedly plotting to kill girl

GUJAR KHAN, Aug 26: The local police have arrested four alleged criminals for plotting to murder a girl and seized weapons and a car from their possession, the district police officer said.

According to DPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz, during the police surveillance, a gang of criminals belonging to to Gujranwala was spotted by the deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Raja Taifoor Akhtar. During the interrogation, they divulged that they were bound for Rawalpindi to kill a girl (Huma Aamin) who was residing in F-block, Satellite Town.

According to the police, Huma Amin had deserted Mohammad Imran, a resident of Gujranwala, who wanted to take the revenge by killing her. A police party constituted by Raja Taifoor Akhtar raided a local hotel and lifted Imran and his three accomplices — Mohammad Aslam Dogar, a resident of Sheikhupura, Zahid Abbas, a resident of Gujranwala, and Ehsanullah, a resident of Nousherah Virkan, Gujranwala. Kamran Butt, a resident of Atta Road, Gujranwala, managed to escape. According to the DPO, three pistols and a car (LWB-3815) have also been seized from their possession. The gang, according to the official, had been involved in a number of robberies in the Gujranwala area.
