ISLAMABAD, Aug 23: The Foreign Office on Wednesday ridiculed and dismissed an Indian claim that a suspected Pakistani ‘terrorist’ had been killed in a police encounter in Mumbai.

“If all Indian claims would be true, half of Pakistan would be dead by now and the other half would be in Indian jails,” Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said.

According to media reports, the Indian police claimed that it had foiled a likely terrorist attack in Mumbai after it shot dead a person suspected to be a Pakistani national in an exchange of fire in the financial capital.—Q.A.
