PESHAWAR, Feb 11: One person died after a passenger bus ran over him near Sarband on Bara Road here on Sunday.

Naik Mohammad, son of Gulab Khan, a resident of Bara, was killed when trying to disembark from a running bus at the cattle market near Sarband.

Pishtakhara police have registered a case.

CHARAS SEIZED: Daudzai police arrested a drug pusher and seized 2.5kg of charas and an unlicensed pistol from his possession near Khazana here on Sunday. The SHO of Daudzai police station received an information that Muharram Gul, son of Khyal, a resident of Gulab Khan, Khazana, was selling charas to villagers since long.

On Sunday morning the police arrested Gulab Khan and recovered 2.5kg of charas and unlicensed pistol from his possession. The police have registered a case.

SUICIDE: One person committed suicide in Kakshal locality here on Saturday night.

One Sher Gul lodged an FIR with the Yakatoot police station that at 8.30pm he heard the voice of a pistol shot from the room of his son Rehmanullah. He rushed to the room but found his son dead.
