MIRPURKHAS, Aug 19: The first Thar Link Express train operated by Indian railways arrived at Zero Point railway station on Saturday from Jodhpur via Munabao with 582 passengers.

The Thar Express had already reached the station with 380 passengers travelling to India.

The Indian train crossed the border into Pakistan after a delay of more than six hours at Munabao station.

One of the reasons for the delay was that customs and immigration clearance of passengers could not be completed on time, Jodhpur Divisional Manager A.K. Khanna was quoted as saying in a report. The train was the first after India took charge of the service six months after its launch.—APP
