NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 15: A meeting of the Government Secondary Teachers Association, Sindh, held at the Government High School, Halani, on Tuesday condemned the ban on teachers’ organisations imposed by the Sindh government and decided to boycott all educational activities from August 16 and to continue their movement against the ban.
The meeting was presided over by GSTA president Abdul Ghani Kumbhar and was attended by presidents and general secretary of all the 23 districts of Sindh.
The meeting criticized the Sindh education minister and complained that teachers were protesting for two months against the ban but the government has not taken any notice.
The meeting warned that the teachers would not responsible of the education in Sindh was affected as the education minister and some other high officials were creating such conditions.
The participants also condemned the action against the teachers without serving any show cause notice or charge sheet.
Future line of action was chalked out at the meeting according to which teachers will boycott the educational activities from August 16 and movement against ban would continue.
