Relief camps

MARDAN, Aug 11: The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD), Mardan, has set up three relief camps in the city and was providing relief to the flood-victims, NCHD media officer Mohammad Fayyaz said this while talking to newsmen at Hoti.

He said the commission had set up relief cells and medical camps for flood victims besides a camp for collecting donations for the affected people.

He said the NCHD had opened a women and children relief camp at the Post Grauduate College here and another relief cell and medical camp at Hoti and the third one was set up at Baghdada.

Mr Fayyaz said the NCHD had also set up a donation camp at Pakistan Chowk for collecting donations in cash and kind.

He said that 327 women and children were shifted to the PGCM camp where the commission was providing them with relief materials including medical facilities.

Medicines worth Rs120,000 were supplied to the Hoti camp where male and lady doctors were checking patients manely female and children.

He added that most of the patients were suffering from skin disease and gastro problems and were being looked after by doctors for eight hours at the camp.
