KARAK, Oct 5: Provincial Amir of Jamat-i-Islami and leader of Pakistan-Afghanistan Defence Council, Prof Mohammad Khan has criticized the government’s decision to extend support to the United States.

He was speaking at a public meeting held under the aegis of Pakistan-Afghan Defence Council and was presided over by Maulana Abdul Wahab.

The provincial chief of Jamat-i-Islami said that problems of Ummah could not be resolved through American aid and dollars but these could be solved by enforcing Sharia.

The government has not taken the nation into confidence while deciding to back America in its military operations against an Islamic country.

He maintained that the pro-US policies of the government would lead to civil war and unrest in the country.

He further said the nation would never accept the decision of fighting against the brothers in-faith by accepting a monetary deal.

He said that America was hatching conspiracies against the Ummah.

He said that a conspiracy has been prepared well before the events of September 11 and a meeting in this regard was held in Germany.

He said that Osama was used as an excuse to attack Afghanistan as it was a thorn in eyes of the US. He accused the US of harbouring Jewish terrorists and providing them all out support against the Palestinians.

He said that this had been acceded to by Niaz A Naik in an interview to a newspaper. He further said that US was changing the goal posts while dealing with the issue of terrorism.

He said that US had been killing innocent Iraqi children for the last 11 years and all this never pricked her conscience. He said that US was using justice and freedom to promote its global interests.

He said that US had deprived Pakistan of its money which it had paid for F-16 aircraft. He said that the Muslims would launch Jihad if American troops used bases in Quetta or Peshawar.
