KARACHI, Aug 5: The chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, on Saturday condemned the regime for what he called its indifferent attitude towards opposition leaders, adding incidents of target killing were aimed to eliminate opposition from the country.
He stated this during his visit to MMA's slain leader Allama Hasan Turabi's residence to condole his death. Speaking on the occasion, PTI chairman said that due to the present government's irresponsible attitude, failure in administrative affairs, lives of Ulema, politicians and people belonging to all walks of life were at risk.
He termed Allama Turabi's martyrdom as a big loss to the country and said he was a staunch supporter of Muslim unity. Mr Khan said that Allama Turabi was an effective and strong voice, who exposed cruelties of the anti-Muslim forces. He said that this was the reason that this voice was silenced.
“If there was democracy in country, the rulers had to tender resignation by taking responsibility of such incidents”, he observed.
Later, Imran Khan offered 'Fateha' at Allama's grave.—PPI
