PESHAWAR, Aug 1: The city district government of Peshawar has prepared a comprehensive plan to celebrate country’s 59th Independence Day anniversary in a befitting manner.

In this connection, a meeting was held here under the chairmanship of District Nazim Peshawar Haji Ghulam Ali and was attended by DCO Jehanzaib Khan, District Naib Nazim Peshawar Razaullah Khan Chagarmatti, all town nazims, officials of government departments and members of the various organizations of traders.

The meeting took several decisions and announced special and colourful programmes to mark the day. Haji Ghulam Ali said Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani would grace the occasion as chief guest and hoist the national flag on at Jinnah Park.—APP
