DADU, July 26: The district council of Dadu on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution condemning the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and Palestine and demanded of the Pakistan government and other Islamic countries to help Lebanon and Palestine.

The meeting was held at the district council hall on Wednesday which was presided over by the district naib nazim, Syed Mohammad Shah.

Sikandar Leghari, a council member moved the resolution which said that Israel was killing innocent people in Lebanon through bombardments.

He demanded that the Pakistan government along with other Islamic countries must help people of Lebanon and Palestine.

The resolution was passed unanimously. A member, Ghulam Hyder Lakhiar, moved a resolution claiming that the western belts of Johi, Khairpur Nathan Shah and Mehar were facing a drought-like condition and Sindh government should declare these areas as calamity hit areas and also announce a special package.

The Council also adopted a resolution moved by member Ali Sher Leghari to construct a bridge at Nai Sole as Kachho people were facing difficulties in flood season.

He demanded that the district government should release funds for this bridge.

Earlier, members of ADP group boycotted the session and took out a protest rally for failure of district government to release funds to UC nazim for development projects as allocated in the budget.

They were led by ADP members Ali Bux Solangi, Saeed Jamali and Aslam Jamali.
