SIALKOT, July 26: Armed bandits plundered cash, gold ornaments, electronics items and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, besides taking away four motorcycles, a car and cattle in 13 strikes in the Sialkot district on Wednesday.
According to reports, armed robbers snatched a motorcycle from trader Amjad Javaid in Dhaarowal-Naikapura in Sialkot city.
In the same locality, thieves took away cash, ornaments, electronic items and other valuables worth Rs150,000 from the house of Ashraf. The victim is a brother of a local lawyer.
Three unidentified bandits snatched Rs7,500 in cash at gunpoint from Mukhtar Ahmad, Rashid Ali and Qamaruz Zaman in Malley village, Sialkot Cantonment.
Meanwhile, thieves took away the motorcycle of trader Shehzad Ahmad in the Sialkot Cantonment area.
In Bhaagowal village, Sialkot Saddar, thieves stole two buffaloes from the outhouse of landlord Ali Ahmad.
Thieves also took away the motorcycle of trader Usman Pervaiz from Hakim Khadim Ali Road locality near Model Town.
In Muslim Colony, the car of trader Waseem Ashraf was stolen by thieves.
Three armed dacoits looted cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs200,000 from the house of Masoom Bibi in Muhallah Pakpura.
Thieves stole the motorcycle of trader Waheed Ameen from Kutchery Road.
In Kotli Bhutta village, thieves took away Rs5,000 in cash and a mobile phone from the house of Ejaz Ahmad.
In Daska, two unidentified armed robbers deprived Kubra Abid, a resident of Aallo Mahaar village, of Rs50,000 in cash which she had drawn from a bank.
In yet another incident, four gunmen snatched thousands of rupees in cash and a rifle from watchman Ashiq during a dacoity in Noorpura village, Uggoki.
The police have registered separate cases with no arrest or recovery till last reports came in.
