PARIS, July 23: Much of Europe enjoyed a respite on Sunday from the heatwave which has killed more than 30 people over recent days, but forecasters warned that scorching temperatures are set for a comeback in the week ahead.

In France, which has been the worst hit, most areas of the country experienced a slight cooling off on Sunday.—AFP
