TOBA TEK SINGH, July 18: Seven ‘political opponents’ of Punjab Forest Minister Dr Ashfaqur Rehman have been booked for allegedly dismantling plaque which was installed at a link road.
According to FIR registered by the Saddar police on Tuesday on the complaint of Haji Munawar Hasan of Chak 383 JB Allahyar, Dr Ashfaq had inaugurated the two-kilometre long road from Chak 383 JB to Darbar Peer Katora on July 1 and a plaque was fixed on a pillar.
Ten days later, accused Amin, Saeed, Naeem, Mohsin, Ayub and Amin Ashraf of the same village, not only broke the plaque with hammers and axes but also dismantled the pillar.
No arrest has so far been made.
