LAHORE: Pakistan will face South Korea in a four-test home hockey series at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium in Islamabad this month.
According to the series schedule released by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Monday, the first test will be played on July 30, followed by the second game on Aug 1 while the third and the fourth tests will be held on Aug 4 and 7.
The series was offered by the PHF to its South Korean counterpart last month. Initially, the South Korea Hockey Federation accepted the offer, and Lahore and Islamabad were to stage two matches each.
Later, South Korea changed the plan and decided to visit Pakistan only for camp training ahead of this year’s September-October Asian Games being held in Japan. And now the camp has been replaced with a four-game series.
Next month, Pakistan compete in the FIH World Cup being co-hosted by the Netherlands and Belgium from Aug 15 to 30.
