TAXILA: Deputy Commissioner Attock Dr Mudassar Ahmad Shah on Monday directed that all development projects of public welfare must be completed within the stipulated time frame without compromising quality.

He expressed these views while reviewing various ongoing development schemes in Jand town of the district.

During his visit to the town, he reviewed the pace of work, construction quality and adherence to approved standards. Officials from the relevant departments and the communication and works authorities briefed the deputy commissioner on the progress, implementation status and expected completion timelines of the projects.

Dr Shah conducted a detailed inspection of the construction work, examining the quality of materials being used and ensuring that the projects were being executed in accordance with the approved designs and technical specifications.

He directed the officials concernedto ensure construction standards are not compromised and that only quality materials were used in the execution of public development projects.

The deputy commissioner said that public welfare projects remained among the government’s top priorities, adding that their timely and high-quality completion would significantly improve the provision of essential civic facilities to residents.

He instructed the departments concerned to accelerate the pace of work and complete all development schemes within the stipulated time frame.

He also took notice of non-functional dialysis unit, paucity of specialist physicians in tehsil headquarters hospital, delay in construction of bridges on water channels and slow pace of pavement work on different roads projects.
