QUETTA: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated a state-of-the-art Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South) Hospital in Turbat, describing the facility as a much-needed addition to healthcare services in the region.

During the visit, the minister toured the hospital’s outpatient department (OPD), specialised wards, MRI and CT scan units, and operation theatres. He commended Inspector General FC Balochistan (South) Major General Bilal Sarfraz Khan and his team for completing and making the modern medical facility operational within a short period.

Naqvi said he was pleased to see the hospital become fully functional so quickly, adding that Turbat had long needed a modern healthcare facility equipped with advanced medical services. He said that, in addition to serving FC personnel, the hospital would also provide quality medical treatment to the local population.

The interior minister was briefed on the healthcare services and facilities available at the hospital. Major General Bilal Sarfraz Khan also briefed him on the force’s professional training standards and ongoing field operations.

Praising the professionalism and operational preparedness of FC Balochistan (South), Naqvi acknowledged the force’s role in maintaining security in the province. He also paid tribute to FC personnel for what he described as successful operations against “Fitna al Hindustan” and other banned militant organisations operating in the region. Officials said the hospital would benefit security personnel as well as civilians.
