Three killed, as many injured in separate incidents

TAXILA: As many as three persons were killed, and several others were injured in different incidents in Taxila and Attock on Friday, police and rescue sources said.

In the first accident, a 60-year-old man was knocked to death by a speedy passenger van on GT Road near Kala Bridge in the limits of Taxila police station.

Police sources said that Muhammad Shareef was crossing GT Road when he was hit by a passenger van; as a result, he died on the spot.

Separately, a man identified as Ehsan Ullah, 34, was shot dead by two persons over alleged old enmity in the Muneerabad area in the limits of Wah Saddar police station.

Moreover, a teenage boy died of electric shock in village Kharala in the jurisdiction of Fatehjang police.

According to police sources, Mustafa Ahmed, 13, was working on an electric appliance when he received an electric shock and died on the spot.

Two construction labourers were injured when the wall of an under-construction house collapsed in village Dhak in the limits of Jand Police Station.

The injured were identified as Muhammad Farman, 37, and 19-year-old Mubashir Khan.

Separately, a woman, 48, was injured when the roof of her house collapsed due to recent rains in the Gulberg Town area near Kamra in the limits of Hazro police station.

The respective police registered separate cases and launched further investigation.
