SAHIWAL, July 16: Punjab grain market commission agents’ association president Sheikh Muhammad Afzal has said that a complete strike in grain markets of the province will be observed on July 17 (today) against the imposition of two per cent withholding tax.

Earlier, commission agents of grain markets of Harappa, Sahiwal, Kassowal, Burewala, Mian Channu and Okara on Saturday held demonstrations against the tax.

Talking to the press here at Sahiwal, Mr Afzal said in case the government did not withdraw the tax, traders from all over the province would set up protest camps and take out rallies. — Correspondent
