KARACHI: A man was shot dead by armed robbers in the PECHS area, police said on Tuesday.

The Ferozabad police said that Naseem Abbas, 45, was killed by robbers in Block-2 near Model School late on Monday night.

The police said that two men were heading home on a motorcycle when robbers, also on a two-wheeler, intercepted them and demanded cash and valuables. As Naseem Abbas put up resistance, the robbers shot him and rode away.

He was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors pronounced him as dead.
