PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Zulfiqar Hameed on Tuesday inaugurated the ‘Cops Cafe’, a newly established police mess at the Malik Saad Shaheed police lines.
A statement issued here said that the first of its kind the café is equipped with all kinds of facilities for provision of quality food.
It said that the police chief inspected the mess and reviewed the facilities, food quality, menu, cleanliness and overall arrangements provided there.
CCPO Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad gave the IGP a briefing on the objectives of establishing the mess.
The police chief had a lunch with police personnel and he expressed satisfaction over the quality of food, cleanliness and other facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said that the police personnel were valuable asset of the department.
“Their welfare, health, better living conditions and provision of quality food are among the top priorities of the department. A healthy, satisfied and motivated police force can provide effective, timely and best services to the public,” he said.
The police chief said that the establishment of a quality police mess will bring significant improvement in the physical development, professional capacity and morale of the police personnel.
