PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Tuesday appointed 23 MPAs as parliamentary secretaries.
A notification issued from the administration department stated that the chief minister appointed these MPAs as parliamentary secretaries for the departments mentioned against their names. It said that MPA Ali Shah has been appointed parliamentary secretary for housing, Amir Farzand Khan, mines and mineral department, and Sultan Room, Auqaf, Haj, religious and minority affairs.
Similarly, Murtaza Khan Tarakai has been made parliamentary secretary for agriculture, Fatehul Mulk Ali Nasir, culture, tourism, archaeology and museums, and Zar Alam Khan, excise, taxation and narcotics control department.
Mohammad Riaz has been given the charge of sports and youth affairs, Abdul Kabir Khan, higher education department and Mohammad Naeem, revenue and estate department.
Mohammad Azam Khan has been made parliamentary secretary for Zakat, Ushr, social welfare, special education and women empowerment department; Asif Khan, finance and Zubair Khan, irrigation department.
Shafiullah has been made parliamentary secretary for transport and mass transit, Sharafat Ali, communication and works department and Mohammad Yamin, public health engineering department.
Similarly, Ishfaq Ahmad has been appointed parliamentary secretary for the local government department, Rajab Ali Khan Abbasi, elementary and secondary education department and Mahboob Sher, livestock department.
Sher Ali Afridi has been made parliamentary secretary of the climate change, forestry, environment and wildlife department, Ubaidur Rahman, information and public relations and Johar Mohammad, technical education and vocational training authority (Tevta).
Zarshad Khan has been given the charge of the industries and commerce department, and Zahidullah Khan, home and tribal affairs.
