LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Friday launched its campaign to mobilise party workers for the July 25 public gathering to be held at Minar-i-Pakistan, by holding a torch-bearing rally at the historic venue.

On the occasion, PPP Lahore chapter president Faisal Mir declared that the party would hold the public meeting “under all circumstances”, claiming that its organisational network in the city has increased than those of both the PTI and the PML-N.

Leading the rally, Mr Mir, said it was just the beginning of a series of events to be organised by the party to mobilise its workers, adding that such activities would continue until the public meeting scheduled for 25th.

PPP Lahore secretary general Dr Ayesha Shaukat, Shaida Jabeen, senior vice president Mian Shahid Abbas, organising committee convener Majid Ghouri, Khurram Farooq, vice president Agha Taqi, Amir Naseer Butt, and deputy information secretaries Ahmad Ghuman and Asjad Malik also participated in the event. The rally concluded with workers chanting party slogans and dancing to PPP anthems.
