The Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) — which governs the Strait of Hormuz — says that prior to the recent strikes by the United States, 200 vessels crossed the strategic waterway in the three weeks since the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding was signed.

“More than 200 non-Iranian vessels coordinated with [the] PGSA, and the majority of them obtained passage permits and insurance,” the body says in a post on X.
