KARACHI: A suspected robber was shot dead and another arrested in wounded condition after an “encounter” in Liaquatabad on Monday.

The area police said that four suspects, including a woman, were looting citizens at Firdous Shopping Centre when the Shaheen Force personnel arrived there and engaged the muggers. After an exchange of gunfire, one suspect was killed and another wounded. Their accomplices managed to escape from the spot. Two pistols, two cell phones and two motorcycles were recovered from the suspects.

The body and the wounded were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
