Britain's Starmer calls for return to ceasefire and deal to open Hormuz

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer wants the United States and Iran to go “back to the ceasefire” and get a deal to open the Strait of Hormuz “implemented”, according to Al Jazeera.

Speaking at the Nato summit in Ankara, Starmer says the economic situation will worsen in the UK and elsewhere if violence drags on.

“Household bills are likely going to be impacted if we don’t get that situation as quickly as possible,” he warns.
