Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has departed Iran to attend the funeral procession of late supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the Iraqi city of Najaf, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reports.

“The president, during this short trip, will not only attend the ceremony welcoming the pure remains of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, but also hold a meeting and discussion with the Prime Minister of Iraq,” the agency adds.
