Two US officials have blamed Iran for the attack, telling the Axios news outlet that Iran’s military fired at least two missiles at commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to Al Jazeera.

One of the officials said a second vessel was also struck and that both ships sustained significant damage, but there were no reported casualties.
