CSR spending rises to Rs15.33bn

KARACHI: Around 200 members of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) invested 10 per cent more in corporate social responsibility (CSR), reaching Rs15.33 billion in 2025, compared with 2024, directly benefiting over 44m individuals nationwide.

In its 2025 CSR Report, released on Wednesday, the OICCI said a significant Rs4.5bn of this total was channelled towards flood relief and rehabilitation efforts last year, reflecting the private sector’s responsiveness to na­­­tional crises. Member com­panies logged more than 13m man-hours in social sector work, suppo­rted by partnerships with 270 civil society organisations.
