Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has reiterated Tehran’s stance on the war in Lebanon, according to Al Jazeera.

The US’s commitment to ending the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon, is important in line with the first paragraph of the Memorandum of Understanding, he says, addressing reporters at a press briefing.

“America must adhere to its commitments and, if necessary, force the Zionist regime (Israel) to implement its commitments,” Baqaei adds.

“Our criterion for measuring America’s adherence to its commitments is the text of the Memorandum of Understanding.”
