Shahdara hospital MS suspended

LAHORE: Punjab Health Secretary Azmat Mahmood has suspended from service Government Shahdara Teaching Hospital MS Dr Adnan Javed and issued transfer orders of three other doctors following some serious complaints of negligence towards treatment of the patients.

The health secretary initiated action during his visit to the hospital on Monday.

A spokesperson for the health department said that Lady Willingdon Hospital Additional Principal Women Medical Officer Dr Farah Inam has been given the additional charge of the Government Shahdara Teaching Hospital MS.

Those transferred from the institute included Additional Principal Medical Officer Dr Jawad Rabbani, Additional Principal Medical Officer Dr Shahid Mahmood and Additional Principal Medical Officer Dr Syed Abid Ali Shah.
