US President Donald Trump, in two separate posts on Truth Social, has announced that both oil and gasoline prices are “coming down”.

“WTI (West Texas International) crude — $69, and heading down,” he writes. “This is less than it was prior to the start of the denuclearisation of Iran!”

He adds that gasoline prices are “coming down, fast” and urges the public to report “any abuses at retail level”.
