JHELUM: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has begun preparations for the election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as a meeting presided over by Minister of State for Finance and Pakistan Railways, Bilal Azhar Kiyani, was held on Sunday.
According to Minister Kiyani, the meeting was organised under the direction of party president Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
The consultative meeting on elections was held to discuss the party’s strategy for campaign preparations and polling day planning for two constituencies in Jhelum district.
The meeting was attended by PML-N Rawalpindi District President and Member National Assembly Malik Abrar, former MNA from Jhelum Matlub Mehdi, former mayor of Rawalpindi Sardar Naseem Khan, and the party’s leadership from Jhelum.
During the meeting, responsibilities were also assigned in all four tehsils of Jhelum district for the election campaign in these two constituencies of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, PML-N nominated candidate from Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly Constituency 39 Jammu 6, Raja Muhammad Siddique, and nominated candidate for LA 42 Valley-3 Shaukat Ali Shah, were also present.
Former members of Punjab Assembly, Raja Owais Khalid, Chaudhry Saeed, Haji Nasir, along with party leaders Talab Mehdi, Chaudhry Buta Javed and other leaders, also attended the meeting.
