KARACHI: Two men were killed and another was critically injured when a motorcycle rammed into a stationary trailer inside the Shaheed Prof Saleem Kharal underpass at Punjab Chowrangi in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

A traffic police official said that the trailer (TAT-401) had developed a technical fault and was standing at the side in the underpass when a bike (KMD-2811) hit it from behind.

As a result, Mohammed Ishaq, 22, died on the spot while Mohammed Riaz, 55, passed away during treatment at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The third person, Allah Bachayo, 52, was admitted for treatment.

The trailer driver escaped from the spot, leaving behind the heavy vehicle that was impounded by the Gizri police.
