KARACHI: The closing ceremony of a three-week summer school organised by the Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) highlighted the creativity and business acumen of young participants aged between 13 and 18, who presented startup ideas and business concepts before a panel of judges.
The programme culminated in a pitch competition featuring 10 teams, each tasked with developing, planning and presenting a business or startup concept, said a press release.
CED Director Dr Lalarukh Ejaz and Meezan Bank Head of Sharia Compliance Shayan Baig distributed cash prizes among the top three teams — Yardly (an app-based service providing users to rent backyards and gardens of homeowners), Lumea (small portable capsule holding perfume) and Frunami (fruit leather).
