TAXILA: A 45-year-old driver lost his life in a road accident after a mini-truck collided with a truck near Mulla Mansoor on the G.T. Road on Sunday.

According to rescue sources, the mini-truck crashed into a truck travelling ahead of it. As a result, the driver of the mini-truck, identified as Sher Dil Khan, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

A Rescue 1122 team shifted the body to THQ hospital in Hazro.

Initial reports suggest that speeding or failure to maintain a safe distance may have contributed to the accident though the actual cause is yet to be officially confirmed.
