HYDERABAD, July 11: The chief executive of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company, Mr Maqbool Ahmed Khawaja, on Monday formed various teams for taking action against power thieves and defaulters.
A Hesco spokesman said that these teams along with technical staff and officers would pay house to house visits.
Hesco Gari Khata SDO Chaudhry Abdul Hameed disconnected 15 domestic connections which were obtained through illegal means and recommended fine against defaulters.
The SDO asked power consumers to use electricity legally through authorised connections failing which they would face action and cases of power theft coupled with fine would also be lodged against them.
The spokesman said that all 11 KV feeders of 132 KV Khanote grid station would remain close between 7am to 2 pm on account of repair and maintenance on July 12.
