KARACHI, July 11: A spokesman for the Sindh chief minister has contradicted a report regarding reshuffling in the provincial cabinet. “Neither port folio of any minister is being changed, nor any minister is being removed”, the spokesman stated.

Meanwhile, presiding over a meeting held in connection with the installation of VMIS system, the Sindh chief minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, has emphasised the need for strict control over lifting of vehicles in Sindh, specially Karachi, and observed that this can be achieved with the help of satellite system.

The CM called for taking full advantage of modern technology to eliminate crimes.

Pointing out that the ratio of street crimes in Sindh has decreased, the chief minister said still the law-enforcement agencies should take full advantage of available resources to protect life and property of people.

The meeting was attended by IGP Jehangir Mirza, Home Secretary, Secretary Excise and Taxation, Brig Abid Hyder Kazmi and Maj Arshad Yakub Raja from NADRA.

TRIBAL CLASH: The chief minister has also taken strict notice of murder of eight persons in a tribal clash between Ogahi and Taighani tribes in Kashmore area on Tuesday.

He has directed the IGP to take stringent measures to stop tribal conflicts.

He also asked the local administration to take strict action against those involved.

Meanwhile, Sindh ministers Sadruddin Shah Rashdi, Mir Manzoor Panhwar, Nadir Akmal Leghari, MPA Syed Murad Ali Shah and Senator Ghaffar Qureshi called on Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim at CM House, and exchanged views on various issues.—APP
