BAHAWALPUR: Vehari police claimed to have recovered a kidnapped minor girl and arrested her alleged captor.

According to a police spokesperson, ‘F’ was allegedly kidnapped from the Vehari Zoo by a man. After registering a case, police used modern investigative tools and geo-fencing technology to trace the suspect.

The girl was recovered safely and the alleged kidnapper, identified as Aslam, was arrested.

Further investigation is under way.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson said police arrested Rehan Haider and his two accomplices for allegedly torturing an elderly man, Muhammad Subhan Gujjar, at a badminton hall in Vehari.

The suspects allegedly recorded a video of the assault and uploaded it to social media.

Police registered a case against the three suspects and, using information technology tools, traced and arrested them.
