The Israeli military says that its forces are operating in a security zone extending about 10 kilometres into southern Lebanon, despite a provision in the interim US-Iran agreement calling for an immediate halt to military operations in Lebanon.

The military says operational needs dictate the deployment and that troops remain stationed in their designated area of operations.
